A flagship company of Neesa group, Neesa Technologies Pvt Ltd (NTPL) today announced the opening of Gujarat's first of its kind data centre-Data First-offering software as a service(SaaS) to SME's and banking sector.
"This energy efficient data centre has been set up in Gujarat for the first time with an investment of Rs 10 crore with an objective to offer SaaS to co-operative banking sector, and SMEs," Managing Director NTPL Sandip Shah said.
"With SaaS hosting and managing applications via the cloud computing services customers can quickly implement cutting edge technology cost-effectively," he added.
We have installed high-speed servers, data storage devices and networking machinery to meet demands of our target audience, Shah said.
Over 300 co-operative banks in Gujarat which are slated to switch over to core banking by 2011 shall be potential customer for this kind of services, he added.
In 2009, this segment captured 31 per cent of the market and it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 42 per cent, while in next five years is likely to grow six times, a company statement said.
Industry reports estimate that revenues associated with the managed services market will grow from USD 30 billion in 2008 to USD 43 billion in 2013.
